The support of $20,000 for our #airrescueone #heliwinch program will make a huge difference in supporting children and youth in the communities we serve within #thompsonokanagan. When we receive a call, it may be a little or a youth that needs our advanced medical support rescue program and with this funding we can ensure we have the gear needed to save a paediatric life. AR1 was the first civilian pre-hospital helicopter rescue in Canada. Our volunteer team is comprised of Nurses, Doctors, Advanced Life Support Paramedics and Fire Rescue professionals, all with 100's of training hours in a variety of rescue techniques. Working with our partners in the Search & Rescue world, we are dispatched through the 911 system and are called to respond to all manner of emergency rescue where time is of the essence and the need for an airborne rescue team with medical support is required. #wevegotyourback #emergencyrescue #helicopter #savinglives #supportingcommunity #okanagan #thompson #medicalsupport #rescue

VSAR’s Air Rescue One team was proud to be working with West Kelowna Fire, COSAR, and BCEHS yesterday. The team assisted in stabilizing and extracting a patient from the West Kelowna area.
